ECO-TEK was established 1992 by Kimron Rink to promote social, ecological and economic sustainability in communities by creating and linking emerging and ancient regenerative, ecological technologies.
ECO-TEK is presently focussing on Solar Aquatics Systemstm and other ecologically engineered technologies to reclaim water and nutrients from sewage and use these constituents to grow bioregionally appropriate, plant material.
ECO-TEK incorporates cutting edge sustainable building principles into every project. Sustainable design and construction results in solar heated, low energy, heat recovering solariums for the Solar Aquatics System.
ECO-TEK is the leader in ecological water reclamation in Canada. Although our focus has been on Western Canada we have experience in the Mexico, Jordan, Bangladesh and Cuba.
THE MISSION
ECO-TEK’s Mission is to create ecosystem-based technologies to reclaim water and nutrients from wastewater and then to incubate biodiversity for local community self-reliance.
THE FOCUS
ECO-TEK’s Focus is to create Community Based Utilities (CBU) that turn waste into resources. We accomplish this by partnering with communities in win-win relationships that are economical, and environmental and socially responsible.
THE MANDATE
ECO-TEK’s Mandate includes site and facility design & engineering, project management, training and oversight of facilities. ECO-TEK is also engaged in research and development of ancillary business concepts and process innovations to fully utilize the resources in wastewater.
THE TEAM
ECO-TEK’s Team utilizes an integrated ecological design approach with a diverse group of professionals including architects, landscape architects, engineers, project managers, certified operations trainers and horticulturists.
